Frank J. Zidar, MD, offers Interventional Cardiology at Hill Country Memorial in Fredericksburg.
He received his B.S. in Biology from Boston College, and graduated from Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor MI. He served his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan Health System. He attained Fellowships in Cardiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and in Interventional Cardiology at Duke University Medical Center.
Zidar is a Partner at Austin Heart, Central, in Austin TX. He has worked with Hill Country area residents since 2005, consulting in a Fredericksburg clinic with patients undergoing procedures at Austin Heart. He and his associates are now conducting those Interventional Cardiology procedures at Hill Country Memorial in the Medical Office Building, in partnership with Drs. Moscona, Greene, Gallagher, and Jepson.
Interventional Cardiology offers the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery and vascular disease, heart disease, and congenital heart defects, using imaging and catheter-based techniques.
Zidar’s approach to practice is family-oriented, helping the patient understand the procedure while involving the family in care and recovery.
Zidar is married with three children, and as a family they enjoy hiking, fishing, and boating in the Texas Hill Country.
