HCM Visitation Update:

March 12, 2021

Hill Country Memorial is committed to ensuring our patients have a safe and remarkable experience during your stay. We understand this COVID-19 pandemic continues to prove difficult for everyone, especially when coupled with a hospital stay. As a healthcare organization, we take seriously our responsibility to do everything we can to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our patients, visitors, and team members.

HCM will continue our safety efforts by masking, socially distancing and practicing proper hygiene practices.

We also recognize the important role families and loved ones play in the healing process. For many of our patients, having a caregiver during part of their time here is critical to communicate discharge instructions and understand at-home care.

Beginning Monday, March 15, 2021, we will be updating and broadening our visitation practices. All non-COVID patients are welcome to have one visitor per stay during their time at Hill Country Memorial. While ICU visitation will be limited to the hours of 1-3pm, we understand that in some circumstances there may be a need to extend these visiting hours to provide the best support to our patients.

To ensure we maintain the safest environment, we will continue to screen visitors with temperature checks and symptom questions upon entry. Visitors will be asked to stay in the room with the patient they are visiting. If the stay will be prolonged, we ask that food and drink be brought by the visitor to limit the need to leave the room or the building.

Visitors, along with patients, physicians, volunteers and team members will continue to wear masks while inside any HCM facility.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
